It’s time to move the cows from the winter permit to the summer range and brand the new calves. So, grab a horse and join us as we start at the watering holes, gathering up all the cows we can find. Then we ride several miles, pushing cows along the narrow neck of the Grand Bench where you will see some fantastic views, looking down off the cliffs into Little Valley and Rock Creek, as well as Lake Powell. It’s time to move the cows from the summer pasture to the winter range on the Grand Bench. Almost the reverse of the Spring Round up and Cattle Drive, we start out driving through the Bryce Canyon area to Escalante, UT. Then we drive along the historical Hole in the Rock Road to the base of the 50 Mile Mountain. Ride On

If you want a more relaxed, laid-back experience come join us for Cowboy Camp. We will take you up to the summer range where you will be able to participate in the daily maintenance of the cattle operation. You will go along with the ranch hands as they check cows, run fences, check water, and keep the cattle where they need to be. Once you are finished with the day’s work you can relax around the campfire and enjoy the night out under the stars. Ride On

It’s time to round up the cows and calves on the Grand Bench for weaning and selling. The first day, we drive out to the winter base camp and saddle up the horses. Our goal is to make it to the campsite by the end of the first day. After a hearty cowboy breakfast the next morning, we head out to the favorite watering holes and feeding areas to look for cows. It’s time to bring the calves to town, but to save on fuel we push them part of the way on horseback. The first day is getting prepared for the cattle drive. We drive out to the winter base camp where the calves are waiting in the corrals. The next morning, after a hearty cowboy breakfast, it’s time to saddle up and start the calves out on the trail.
